Pillow Talk

Storytelling | Slow Style | Sustainability | Stitching | Stargazing | Strawberries

From sharing which colors I used to stitch a particular project, to my favorite slow style practices, and what it’s like to move to British Columbia with a marine scientist for a fiancé, I just want to leave this planet a little better than how I found it through art. This is one big melting pot of a creative outlet to feed my inexplicable urge to create everything under the sun. I love camping and couture equally and am trying to figure out the best way to honor both. Picking berries along hikes makes me happy and photography is my favorite way to interact with this one walk on Earth that I have been given.

I have never kept a journal, but wish I had. So, I shall tinker away at this outlet as my visual sketchbook with the help of some friends I find along the trail.

Brooke is a New English textile designer, freelance creative director, photographer, needlepoint entrepreneur and illustrator. She loves utilizing her interdisciplinary artistic outlets as a means to turn her daydreams into tangible art. While sitting in an airport in 2015, the idea of starting a reimagined needlepoint collection came to light and she has been developing the roots for Thorn Alexander ever since.

Although much of the development of Thorn Alexander began in her hometown Dorset, VT, it has traveled with Brooke’s moves over the last four and a half years.
